Off With His Head!! The Feds Capture Our Webmaster. New Construction Temporarily on Hold |
|
Ozone Bhaguan is our Webmaster. He has been transforming this site into a portal to the future. Now you can know why we are all careening into the abyss AND how we are going to co-create a new tomorrow when the Empire finally falls. But for the next three months Mr. Wizard is going to be a guest of the State in the Federal Hoosegow. It seems that Dr. Pixel has an unflattering view of torture so he had the nerve to say NO to America's terrorist training camp down in Fort Benning, Georgia. He walked up the driveway at the School of the Americas with a few friends and that makes him an illegal. Ozone, we'll miss you. See you on the flip side in June. Thanks for the good spirit you bring to the world. We'll try to keep the pixels flying. Here is his address for the next 90 days: Please drop him a note if you think about it. Ozone Bhaguan #92123-020 FPC Duluth Federal Prison Camp P.O. Box 1000 Duluth, MN 55814

If I Can't Sing I Don't Want to be Part of Your Revolution |
|
The farm band is back in the studio. We have seven songs in the can and a bunch more in the pipeline. We are hoping to have a CD ready to go for fund raising in a couple of months. Years ago we were the movement band of choice singing at demonstrations, rallies, fund raisers, events, and just for fun. We are hoping to do more of the same now. If you need music for an event let us know. If you want to audition the band (Relative Minor- because we are all related and a minor, little band) go to Neil Young's website Living With War Today. We are currently ranked 271 out of over 2600 songs. The more you get listened to the more you move up the charts. Click on our song (Shovelin' Shit) which will take you to our band website. Enjoy. |

How to Build a Composting Toilet |
We've been working on the website and one of the changes you will be seeing soon is a section on technology we use at the farm and how you can do it yourself. In the meantime check out this photo essay on how to build a composting toilet that I constructed at Jonah House a few years ago. Jonah House is a resistance community in inner city Baltimore that is homesteading a twenty acre cemetery. Barb and I got our start there in the early 1980's before they moved to their present location. Check out their website after you read about their toilet. Then you will be able to recycle your poop and save the world at the same time. How about that! |

Our Harvest Breakfast/Open house was a phenomenal success. Despite scattered, down pouring rain around 150 people showed up for breakfast and tours of the farm with our emphasis on low cost, easily attainable renewable energy components. We couldn't make people leave!! They ate us out of house and home and tromped through puddles just to see what there was to see. Everyone seemed delighted to be here AND we made over $1000 for the building fund. The stories that appeared in the local papers the following week were very affirming. It all make us think that folks are ready for renewable energy and locally grown food RIGHT NOW!! |
